How to Measure Costume Dimensions
This is a guide to where to take the measurements shown on the costume page.
- All measurements are taken laying flat on a flat surface.
- Outside measurements are taken by hand, so there may be a slight (a few centimeters) error.
- For costumes with stretch, ruffles, and gathers, we measure the outer dimensions without stretching.
- For items with a collar, the length of the collar is not included.
- We recommend that you compare the measurements with your own clothes before use.

One Piece
| ① | shoulder width | This is the length measured between the seams of the left and right shoulder tips. |
| ② | Length | The length from the back collar to the hem. Does not include the height of the collar. |
| ③ | Body width | This is the length measured in a straight line under the base of both sleeves. |
Dress with sleeves
| ① | Shoulder width | This is the length measured between the seams of the left and right shoulder tips. |
| ② | Length | The length from the back collar to the hem. Does not include the height of the collar. |
| ③ | Sleeve length | Length from the shoulder tip seam to the cuff.
For costumes with ruffles or lace, the length is included up to the tip of the ruffles or lace. |
| ④ | Body width | This is the length measured in a straight line under the base of both sleeves. |
Jacket
| ① | Shoulder width | This is the length measured between the seams of the left and right shoulder tips. |
| ② | Length | The length from the back collar to the hem. Does not include the height of the collar. |
| ③ | Sleeve length | Length from the shoulder tip seam to the cuff.
For costumes with ruffles or lace, the length is included up to the tip of the ruffles or lace. |
| ④ | Body width | This is the length measured in a straight line below the base of both sleeves. |
Pants
Waist
| 1) | 1) | 1) | 1) | 1) | Length measured at the narrowest part of the waist. Zippers and buttons are closed. |
| ② | Pants Length | The length from the top of the waist to the hem. | |||
| ③ | Inseam | The length from the base of the inseam to the hem. From the base of the inseam to the hem, including the tip of any frills or lace on the garment. | |||
| ④ | Hips | Length measured across the width of the thickest part of the hips.
Zippers and buttons are closed. |
Skirt
| ① | Waist | The width of the narrowest part of the waist. Length measured at the narrowest part of the waist. Zippers and buttons are closed. |
| ② | Skirt length |
The length from the top of the waistband to the hem.
